Luces Exclusivas ACUAPA outdoor wall light, black, GU10, LE73531

Luces Exclusivas ACUAPA LE73531 is a black outdoor wall light with a cylindrical head, side bracket and round wall plate. The manufacturer specifies aluminium and glass. Rather than a broad shade, it has a circular light opening at the end of the tube, giving it the outline of a small wall-mounted spotlight.

A GU10 socket with the bulb supplied separately

The fitting has one GU10 socket and a maximum lamp wattage of 10 W. You need to choose the bulb separately: the product sheet explicitly states that no light source is included. A photograph showing a bulb illustrates the appearance of an equipped fitting, not a different package specification.

Compare the bulb's beam angle, luminous flux and colour temperature when making that choice. These determine the width of the beam, quantity of light and its colour. The GU10 cap alone specifies none of those characteristics. The fitting is rated for a 230 V supply. Its 10 W limit should therefore not be read as a promise of a particular brightness on the surface being lit.

Check the wall plate as well as the head

The product sheet lists a diameter of 7 cm and a height of 12.5 cm. The technical drawing also shows a wall plate measuring 12 cm in diameter, so the head size is not the size of the complete mounting footprint. Before deciding on a position, allow room for the round plate and the projecting body. The side photographs show how those parts sit relative to the wall.

A supplementary light point outdoors

The IP54 rating supports outdoor use, including a terrace, balcony or gazebo wall, beside a doorway or on a masonry fence. It does not mean the fitting is suitable for immersion or pressure-jet cleaning. Consider the conditions at the actual installation position and how the electrical supply will reach it.

The plain cylinder, circular plate and black finish suit modern and minimalist building details. ACUAPA is a wall fitting rather than a garden post. For a larger area, assess the spacing of light points together with the chosen bulb's characteristics instead of assuming one small fixture will illuminate the whole space.
