LUMINES axin in Sky Blue is an aluminium LED profile designed to be recessed into furniture and interior finishing elements. This 1 m section has a lacquered RAL 220 70 10 finish. It belongs to the axin system in the LUMINES Design+ collection and provides a housing for accent lighting rather than a complete lamp with a fixed output or light colour.
Check the furniture section before routing
The cross-section measures 21 mm across its full width and 12.9 mm in height. Its side edges sit at the furniture surface while the body enters a prepared groove. Before machining a shelf or panel, compare its thickness and construction with the manufacturer's section drawing. The overall width, including the edges, is not the same measurement as the required mounting opening.
The profile is pressed into the routed groove. This arrangement incorporates the lighting line into the furniture instead of placing a projecting housing on its surface. Account for the one-metre section when laying out separate runs, particularly where several independent shelves are involved.
Build around the axin system
The manufacturer specifies LED strips up to 12 mm wide and nano covers, which press into place from the open side of the profile. Fractal Opal, Clear and black covers offer different choices for completing the assembly. The system also includes axin end caps with openings, including a matching Sky Blue version. These are compatibility details, not confirmation that these accessories are supplied with this profile section.
The power supply sits outside the profile. Wattage, brightness, colour temperature and control depend on the chosen strip and other components, not on the blue finish of the aluminium housing.
A restrained detail in coloured cabinetry
The straight section and narrow edges suit modern, minimalist furniture. Consider it for accent lighting in shelves, kitchen cabinetry or wardrobes. Sky Blue describes the housing finish: it does not mean that the assembled installation emits blue light.
