LUMINES IVO recessed LED profile, raw aluminium, 2.02 m

LUMINES IVO 10-1770-20 is a raw aluminium profile for recessing an LED strip into furniture and interior finishing elements. Its shallow cross-section and side flanges allow the lighting line to become part of the joinery rather than a separate projecting fitting. This version measures 2.02 m, as specified in the manufacturer's current datasheet.

Plan the recess around the full cross-section

The profile is 6.5 mm high and 18.4 mm wide overall. The section drawing also gives a body width of 14.4 mm. These measurements describe different parts: the width across the visible flanges is not the width of the recessed body. Compare the complete drawing with the intended installation space before preparing the furniture, rather than relying on the external width alone.

IVO accommodates LED strips up to 12 mm wide. The manufacturer identifies decorative lighting in furniture and interior finishes as its purpose. It can form part of illuminated shelving, cupboards and kitchen cabinetry. Choose the strip to suit the required light output and colour; neither is determined by the aluminium channel itself.

Match the cover and end caps to IVO

The compatible cover family is LEAN, made from polycarbonate and offered in transparent, frosted and opal versions. System compatibility matters here, not merely a similar-looking cover width. The manufacturer's associated accessories also include end caps with a hole in ABS and aluminium versions. Check the material and finish of the particular end cap when specifying the assembly.

The power supply sits outside the profile. Allow a separate position for it and plan the wiring route to the strip. The assembly diagram shows the channel, cover, LED strip and end caps as separate system elements; it does not establish the contents of a complete retail kit.

A restrained line in raw aluminium

Article 10-1770-20 denotes the raw finish, not silver anodised aluminium. Its narrow, straight form suits modern and minimalist joinery. Assess the exposed metal edge separately from the eventual lighting effect, which depends on the chosen strip and LEAN cover.
