Lutec Moon Solar outdoor LED wall light with motion sensor, grey, 6906001118

Lutec Moon Solar 6906001118 is an outdoor solar wall light with a dark grey aluminium housing and a white opal polycarbonate diffuser. Its round light chamber sits beneath a straight support arm, with the solar panel on top. An integrated LED module and PIR motion sensor make it a wall-mounted lighting option that does not need a mains cable from the house.

Downward light for an entrance or fence

The 9.5 W LED module provides a luminaire output of 1000 lm at 4000 K. This is neutral white light, directed downwards by the fixture. Suitable positions include an entrance wall, a terrace wall or a fence, provided the panel can receive sunlight. The plain geometric housing works with modern and minimalist exterior designs rather than decorative lantern styling.

The LED light source is not replaceable. There is no separate bulb to choose, but the manual specifies replacement of the complete luminaire when the light source reaches the end of its life. Solar operation does not make this a fitting for interchangeable bulbs.

Motion detection and four switch positions

The switch offers AUTO, DIM, ON and OFF. AUTO uses motion detection after dusk; the manual states that the light remains on for 30 seconds following detection. The sensor covers an angle of 120° and a distance of up to 10 m, with no sensor adjustment. DIM is a separate operating mode, not continuous brightness control. ON selects continuous lighting and OFF switches the light off.

Allow room for the fixture and sunlight

The housing is 16 cm wide, 21.7 cm deep and 9.6 cm high. Check its projection from the wall against door movement and nearby walking space before fixing it. IP44 provides splash protection, not protection for immersion.

A 1.7 W monocrystalline panel charges one 3.7 V, 2200 mAh lithium-ion battery. The manufacturer recommends eight hours of charging in sunlight before first use. Operating time depends on weather, location and the energy collected during the day. A shaded balcony will therefore not offer the same charging conditions as a sunlit wall.
