FLAME 1400 is a free-standing outdoor lamp shaped like a slim, curving flame, 168 cm tall. The body is moulded in white polyethylene over a steel base. The family was designed by Santiago Sevillano.
How much space it takes and where to stand it
The base measures 26 × 26 cm, so the lamp occupies less floor than a medium planter while standing 168 cm high — roughly the height of an adult. The height is not adjustable; the silhouette is fixed.
It weighs 8.2 kg, which is worth bearing in mind with a base that narrow on an open, windy terrace. The supply lead is 5 m, and that is the radius within which the socket or junction box has to sit from wherever the lamp stands. The lead itself is white like the body, so it does not stand out against the lamp on a pale terrace.
What lights it
GU10 lampholders sit inside the body — Mantra states four of them. Bulbs are not supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself: 2700–3000 K, a warm light, is the usual pick for a terrace. The fitting is not dimmable, so the light level is set purely by the lamps you fit.
The polyethylene body is translucent and glows along its full height rather than only at an opening — the lamp works as a lit accent in the space, not as a spotlight aimed at a particular corner of the garden.
Where it can stand
IP65 means it is sealed against dust and withstands water jets, so the lamp can stay outdoors through the season with no shelter — on a terrace, beside a driveway or at the entrance to a venue. It runs on 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz.
