Mantra MAYA 6552 outdoor wall light, dark grey, E27, 58.5 cm

Mantra MAYA 6552 is a tall outdoor wall lantern with a rectangular aluminium frame surrounding a clear cylindrical glass shade. Its dark grey RAL 7024 finish, curved upper section and round wall plate combine straight lines with a traditional lantern detail. The design is by José Ignacio Ballester.

Allow space for the long frame

This version measures 58.5 cm high, 17.5 cm wide and 17 cm deep. Compare those measurements with the available wall area before choosing its position, including the clearance needed for opening doors or windows. The height is fixed rather than adjustable. Its elongated outline makes it a vertical feature on the facade, not a small spotlight.

The fitting is designed for outdoor wall mounting and has an IP54 rating. Its mounting type and protection support use on a facade beside an entrance, terrace or balcony. It is not a garden bollard or a hanging lantern with a chain. The arch and simple rectangular frame suit classic settings and a more contemporary interpretation of the lantern, without elaborate decorative scrollwork.

The bulb is a separate purchase

There is one E27 socket, and no bulb is supplied. The installation instructions specify a maximum of 20 W for an LED bulb. That limit should not be read as the actual electricity consumption with every bulb: brightness, light colour and consumption depend on the source you choose. Clear glass leaves the bulb visible, so consider its appearance as well as its technical compatibility. The bulb shown in the photographs illustrates a possible choice rather than an included component.

Connection and installation

Mantra specifies a 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz supply, protection class I and no dimming function. The protective earth connection is required. To maintain the IP rating, the instructions recommend a round three-core cable. Installation must take place with the power switched off. The manufacturer states a three-year warranty for this fitting.
