MARENZO is a surface-mounted spotlight 19.5 cm tall. The black, fluted body ends in a widening conical reflector in oxidised gold, 9.8 cm across. The body sits on a short knuckle joint, and that on a round base plate screwed to the ceiling.
How it mounts and how much room it needs
The fitting is not recessed: the base plate screws onto the finished surface, so there is no cut-out to make in the ceiling and no void needed above it. It projects 19.5 cm below the ceiling — compare that figure with your room height and with whatever is to stand under the fitting.
In the manufacturer's photographs the same fitting appears once upright and once tilted to the side: the joint between the base plate and the body lets you aim the cone where the light is wanted. That is the difference between lighting a spot and lighting a room, and MARENZO is built for the first.
Which bulb you need
The fitting takes one source with a GU10 cap rated up to 10 W. No bulb is included, so you choose output and light colour yourself — and since GU10 is a lamp with its own reflector, its beam angle is what decides how wide the pool of light under the fitting turns out.
The light can be dimmed, but only with a bulb marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the installation; the fitting has no control gear of its own. It runs on 230 V from the mains.
Materials and colour
The whole fitting is aluminium. The body is black and covered in vertical flutes that break up light falling on the casing; the conical reflector carries the oxidised gold on the inside as well, so with the lamp on the inside of the cone glows with a warm metallic reflection.
The fitting is two-tone and the manufacturer describes it that way: black body, oxidised gold reflector. It is one model from the wider MARENZO family, in which the same head returns on a pendant suspension, on a wall arm and on a floor base.
