Max Light X-Line C0253 ceiling light white 5-light LED 8W 3000K

The Max Light X-Line C0253 is a surface-mounted ceiling light shaped as a narrow white aluminium bar. Five round, deeply recessed cells with dark reflectors sit in its underside — the diodes are set back inside the housing, so you do not see them straight on at standing height.

How big it is and where it fits

The housing is 13.6 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, and it stands 6.6 cm clear of the ceiling. On the ceiling it takes up a narrow strip — compare that figure with the spot you want to light.

The fitting screws onto the ceiling surface with no cut-out, so it also works where there is no void above the ceiling for a recessed fixture. Those 6.6 cm of height are also the depth the cells need in order to hide the diodes.

How much light the C0253 gives

The luminaire has a built-in 8 W LED module rated at 560 lumens in 3000 K — warm white, clearly warmer than daylight and close to a traditional incandescent bulb. That output is roughly two thirds of an old 60 W bulb, so the C0253 works as supplementary or directional light rather than as the only light in a large room.

The beam angle is 36 degrees, which is narrow: the light falls in a concentrated cone below the fitting instead of spreading across the room. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight — which matters where the fitting lights a picture, a textured wall or a wardrobe.

The LED module is included and permanently built in — there is no lamp holder and the source cannot be replaced. The fitting is not dimmable either, so it always runs at full output.

Which interiors it suits

The shape is modern in the plainest sense: a smooth box with no ornament, white throughout, dark only inside the cells. The fitting is intended for a corridor and an entrance hall, where the narrow beam and the small housing count for more than the amount of light.
