Maytoni Ares O309CL-L10GF3K is an outdoor LED ceiling light with five round light openings arranged in a single row. Its graphite-coloured metal and glass housing has a rectangular, enclosed profile, rather than a hanging shade or an ornamental frame.
A narrow fitting beneath the ceiling
The housing measures 15 cm wide, 5 cm long and 8 cm high. Compare these dimensions with the available ceiling surface and the clearance needed by nearby opening doors before choosing its position. This is a surface-mounted fitting: its body remains below the ceiling instead of being recessed, and there is no pendant drop to accommodate.
The elongated proportions, graphite finish and regular arrangement of circular openings suit modern, modernist and minimalist architecture. From underneath, the light openings are the prominent feature; from the side, the rectangular body dominates. Consider that difference when deciding how the fitting will appear from the approach to an entrance.
Warm light with a focused beam
The integrated LED source uses 10 W and provides 700 lm at a colour temperature of 3000 K. This warm-white light can be coordinated with other entrance or terrace lighting by comparing their colour temperatures. There is no separate screw-base bulb to choose for this model.
A 36° beam angle produces concentrated light rather than broad illumination across an entire space. When planning several fittings, account for mounting height and spacing; the lumen figure alone does not establish the area that one light will illuminate adequately. The manufacturer specifies that this version is not dimmable, so it is not intended for brightness adjustment through a dimmer.
Outdoor positioning and connection
IP54 means limited protection against dust and protection against splashing water, not waterproofing for immersion. Its ceiling mounting allows it to be considered beneath a covered entrance, terrace roof, balcony ceiling or gazebo. The same mounting conditions can apply to outdoor circulation areas at hotels and restaurants.
The fitting operates on AC 110–240 V. Its Class I electrical protection requires a protective earth connection, so positioning and wiring must follow the installation instructions. Maytoni specifies a five-year warranty for this exact Ares model.
