LINE MOD016PL-L75W is a Maytoni pendant light made of six white aluminium LED bars crossing one another in a loose, asymmetric composition. It hangs on thin cables below a round white ceiling canopy. The light source is built into the bars, so there are no bulbs to buy.
Size and suspension
According to the manufacturer's drawing, the composition covers 101 × 66 cm in plan and the bar pack is 5.5 cm tall. Compare that with your tabletop: over a table, a pendant's lower edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface. The overall height is adjusted on the cables between 12 and 120 cm, so in a low room the light can be pulled up almost to the ceiling or lowered close over a table.
The canopy is 25 cm in diameter and 4.1 cm high, and it fixes onto a mounting bar screwed to the ceiling. The light weighs 3.02 kg net. It is a Class I fitting, so an earth conductor is needed at the ceiling box.
How much light and what kind
Together the bars draw 79 W and deliver 3100 lm, enough for the main lighting of a living or dining room. At 3000 K the light is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 82 is sufficient for general lighting. A 120° beam means wide, diffused light directed downwards. The light cannot be dimmed. The manufacturer states a service life of 50,000 hours and declares energy efficiency class G for the light source.
Which interiors it suits
The Line series belongs to the Modern collection: straight, unornamented bars in matt white give a modern, minimalist form that reads mainly as a drawing under the ceiling. It suits a dining table, a living room and a bedroom. The Line series also includes a black version and models with a different light colour.
