Maytoni Yin DL031-L12W3K-D-B is a black recessed downlight with an aluminium body and an integrated LED source. Its circular trim surrounds a recessed optical assembly, leaving a small, dark outline visible from the room. This is the warm-white 3000 K version with TRIAC dimming, not the Yin variant designed for a replaceable GU10 bulb.

Check the cut-out as well as the body

The outer diameter is 9.8 cm and the body height is 7.5 cm. The manufacturer specifies a round mounting hole measuring 8.5 cm across and a mounting depth of 9 cm. Compare both installation measurements with the ceiling construction and available space above it. The body height alone does not establish the required installation depth.

A recessed fitting lets you plan ceiling lighting without a suspended shade. Decide where the individual points belong before cutting the openings: the visible trim and the cut-out do not share the same diameter.

Warm light through a 60° beam

The LED source is rated at 12 W with a luminous flux of 760 lm. Its 60° beam angle describes the spread of light; it does not guarantee that one fitting will illuminate an entire room evenly. The number and spacing of fittings should reflect ceiling height and the amount of light required.

Dimming compatibility and visual style

This version supports TRIAC control. Choose the dimmer according to compatibility with the LED driver and the combined load of the connected fittings. The word “dimmable” does not establish compatibility with every regulator.

The black circular trim and restrained geometry suit modern, modernist and minimalist schemes. Rather than acting as a hanging decorative centrepiece, Yin remains a light point within the ceiling plane.
