MUSE MOD304TL-01CH table lamp Maytoni

The Maytoni Muse MOD304TL-01CH table lamp combines a clear, sculpted glass body with chrome-finished metal parts. Long vertical facets give the base its decorative character, while a plain white cotton drum shade keeps the upper silhouette simple. This is the transparent-glass and chrome version, rather than an opaque silver lamp.

Allow for the shade, not just the base

The lamp stands 52.7 cm high. Its shade measures 32 cm across and 18 cm high, compared with the base diameter of 11.6 cm. When choosing a side table or console, check the space needed by the wider shade as well as the smaller footprint below. If the lamp will sit beneath shelving, compare the available clearance with the overall height before positioning it.

The clear body leaves internal metal elements visible. Close-up photographs show the elongated geometric glass surfaces, which distinguish this design from a lamp with a smooth cylindrical base. The chrome designation refers to the metal finish of this exact version, not to a coloured coating over the glass.

Choose the light through the E27 bulb

There is one E27 socket, rated for a light source of up to 60 W. That figure is a maximum bulb rating, not a fixed energy consumption or brightness. Light output and colour temperature depend on the bulb selected, so the warm appearance of the photographs should not be read as a built-in colour-temperature specification. Maytoni lists the lamp as non-dimmable. An inline switch provides on/off control on the cable.

A decorative layer of light

Muse can serve as supplementary lighting on a living-room cabinet, dining-room console or suitably wide bedside table. It is not an articulated task lamp with a head that can be aimed at detailed work. The fabric drum shade follows familiar classic proportions, while the faceted glass introduces an Art Deco-related geometric detail. When coordinating it with existing furnishings, consider the clear glass and chrome alongside the white shade rather than matching the shade colour alone.
