Nora 2496GB Beige Grey LED Outdoor Wall Light by NORLYS

Nora 2496GB is a flat, square outdoor wall light measuring 13 × 13 × 5 cm, with a cast-aluminium body powder-coated in beige grey (RAL 7006). Clear safety glass closes the underside and a silicone gasket seals the whole fitting.

What light it gives and where it goes

The light shines downward only and the ULOR is 0% — nothing escapes towards the sky; instead a wash of light forms on the façade below the fitting and brings out the texture of the wall. The integrated LED module draws 8 W and delivers a luminaire flux of 585 lm, enough to light an entrance, a wall or part of a terrace. 4000 K is neutral white light with no yellow tint, and CRI 80 renders the colours of walls and plants correctly.

DALI2 control and wiring

The electronic driver is built in and works on the DALI2 system, so this variant is meant for installations with a DALI bus, where brightness is controlled digitally. The terminals take up to five 2.5 mm² conductors and fittings can be looped through with conductors up to 1.5 mm² — a row of wall lights on one façade then runs from a single supply line. The manufacturer also states how many fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on a B 10A and 74 on a B 16A. The light is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection.

Mounting and service life

It fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm, and the supply cable should have a round sheath of 7–10.5 mm diameter. IP65 allows mounting outdoors without a canopy, and IK09 means high impact resistance of the glass and body. The LED module (Cree) and driver can be replaced by a professional service — the manufacturer offers a service kit for this. It rates the module at an L90 lifetime of over 52,600 h and the driver at 100,000 h.
