Nordlux Canis 1-Kit is a single round recessed downlight for indoor use, with a white metal bezel and an adjustable light source. A replaceable 4.7 W GU10 LED bulb is included, so the fitting is ready to use after correct wiring and installation in the ceiling.
Light output and direction
The supplied bulb produces 345 lm at 2700 K, giving a warm, slightly yellow light similar to a traditional incandescent bulb. Its 36° beam keeps the light focused, while the lamp can be tilted by 30° to aim it at a selected part of the room.
The colour rendering index is Ra 80 and the stated lifetime of the included bulb is 15,000 hours. This is directional accent or supplementary lighting; 345 lm should not be treated as the sole source of light for a large room.
Dimming and replacing the bulb
The included light source supports stepless dimming with a compatible wall-mounted dimmer. When the bulb reaches the end of its life, it can be replaced with another GU10 source; the maximum permitted wattage for the single socket is 50 W. After replacement, colour temperature, output and dimming capability will depend on the chosen bulb.
Dimensions and installation conditions
The visible bezel is 8.5 cm in diameter and the fitting is 10.5 cm high. The manufacturer's drawing specifies a Ø 6.5 cm cut-out, a minimum installation depth of 11.5 cm and a ceiling thickness of 5–15 mm. These dimensions should be checked against the available ceiling void before cutting.
Canis operates at 220–240 V and is Class II double insulated, so it does not require a protective earth connection. The metal construction is complemented by plastic parts. The fitting must not be installed directly in thermal insulation.
