Norlys Asker 1313CG LED bollard light cement grey 85 cm

Asker 1313CG is a garden bollard in the finish Norlys calls Cement Grey, shaped like an inverted L: a slim post with a horizontal arm at the top, and the light leaves the underside of that arm straight downwards. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium and the diffuser is clear structured polycarbonate, UV-stabilised.

How tall it is and how it is fixed

The fitting is 85 cm tall, the arm reaches out 20 cm and the post itself is 11 cm deep. That 20 cm decides how far back from the edge of a path the bollard has to stand so the light lands on the surface rather than beside it. It weighs 4.01 kg.

The base has four ø8 mm holes on an 18 x 50 mm pattern. Norlys sells the fixings separately — concreting anchor 1907, ground anchor 1908 and mounting adapters 3081 and 3090 — so the ground fixing has to be ordered with the luminaire.

How much light it gives

The light comes from a built-in LED module rated 5.6 W; the whole luminaire draws 7.2 W and puts out 543 lm, all of it aimed downwards. That is light for a path or a driveway underfoot, not for a whole garden. A BUG rating of B0-U1-G0 and ULOR 0.6% mean under one percent of the flux escapes upwards.

The 2700 K colour is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb, and Ra 80 is the usual colour rendering outdoors. The luminaire can be phase-dimmed, but on the trailing edge only. A leading-edge dimmer, usually marked R or RL, will not drive it.

Wiring it in

The supply is 220–240 V and the luminaire is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to reach the connection point. The terminals take conductors up to 3 x 2.4 mm², and up to 3 x 4 mm² when looped through, so several bollards can be fed from one circuit instead of a separate cable to each. The gland accepts round-sheathed cable from 4 to 13.6 mm.

Build and servicing

IP65 means it withstands water jets from any direction, and IK10 is the top impact class on that scale. The gasket is silicone and the cable gland is EPDM.

The LED module and the control gear are replaceable by a professional service — kit ZS4699101113 for the module, ZS46999746 for the driver, whose life Norlys states as 50,000 hours.
