NORLYS Asker 1338GR bollard light with PIR motion sensor, graphite RAL 7016, LED 9.7 W 3000 K, 85 cm, IP65

Asker 1338GR is an inverted-L bollard light with a built-in PIR motion sensor. The straight 11 cm wide column ends at the top in an arm that projects 20 cm, and the light falls downward from under the arm. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016, a dark, cool grey.

How the motion sensor works

An ESYLUX PIR motion sensor with a dusk switch is built into the luminaire. From the factory it is set to maximum range, a 10 lx dusk threshold and a 1 minute on-time. After dark the bollard switches on when someone walks past, and it stays on while movement continues, because every new detection restarts the timer.

How much light and what kind

The light source is an integrated Philips Fortimo LED module. The luminaire draws 9.7 W and emits 585 lm, spread in a downward hemisphere. That is enough to light a path, an entrance or a driveway around the bollard, not a whole garden from a single point. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 renders paving and plants the way typical outdoor lighting does. ULOR 0% means no part of the light goes up into the sky.

If needed, the LED module is replaced by a qualified person, not by the user. The manufacturer rates it at over 50,000 hours until the light output drops to 70%.

Installation and operating conditions

The bollard is 85 cm tall and weighs 4.11 kg. It is bolted to the ground through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. Concreting anchors, ground anchors and mounting adapters are sold separately by the manufacturer. The terminals take conductors up to 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next luminaire, so several bollards along a path can run on one circuit. It is a protection class I luminaire that needs an earth conductor.

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so the bollard can stand outdoors without a roof. The diffuser of transparent textured polycarbonate is UV-stabilised, and the luminaire operates at temperatures from −20 to +45 °C.

Where it fits

Asker is intended for garden paths, terraces and driveways, and also for parks and streets, wherever the light should come on only when someone approaches. The form is modern and minimalist: smooth surfaces and sharp edges with no ornament.
