Asker Pro 1314BL is an 85 cm LED bollard shaped like an inverted L: a rectangular body 11 cm wide turns at the top into a horizontal head projecting 20 cm, which shines downwards through a flat lens. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated black (RAL 9005) and the lens is clear PMMA. The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no lamp to buy.
What light it gives
The fitting draws 7.7 W and delivers 697 lm – a little less than an old 60 W bulb, all directed down onto the ground. 3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 80 is enough for paving, lawn and plants to keep their natural colours.
The Ledil SCL lens gives an IESNA type II/III distribution: the light falls as an elongated pool along the path rather than a circle around the bollard, so it belongs at the edge of a path or driveway. Only 1% of the flux goes upwards (ULOR 1%, BUG B1-U1-G1). The fitting can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, but only a trailing-edge one – a leading-edge dimmer made for incandescent lamps will not do.
Installation and wiring
The bollard is bolted down through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. Everything for the foundation is sold separately: the concreting anchor 1907ZX0009, the ground anchor 1908GA0009, the concrete-foundation adapter 1909GA0010 and the mounting adapters 3090GA0009 and 3081XX0009. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), and the gland accepts round cable up to ø12.5 mm, so several bollards can run from one supply line. Protection class I means the earth conductor must be connected; installation is a job for an electrician.
Durability and service
IP65 for the whole fitting and IP67 for the optical assembly let the bollard stand in the rain without shelterand IK08 protects it against knocks. It works from −20 to +45 °C and weighs 4.5 kg. The LED module keeps at least 90% of its flux for more than 109,000 h (L90) and the driver is rated for 50,000 h; both are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys supplies them as spare parts. Norlys designed Asker for gardens and other private grounds – beside a path, terrace or entrance.
