Molde 5107GR is an 80 cm bollard light in cast aluminium, powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016). The upper part of the body curves forward, and the projecting head holds a diffuser in clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The light comes from an integrated 8 W LED module.
Dimensions and installation
The bollard stands 80 cm tall and is 11 cm wide from the front; the curved head projects so that the fitting is 16.5 cm deep. At this height the light falls low onto a path or driveway instead of lighting the whole garden from above. The fitting weighs 2 kg.
It is fixed through four ø7 mm holes on an 18 × 50 mm pattern. The concrete-in anchor, ground anchor and mounting adapters are sold separately, so choose them for your ground along with the bollard. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or up to 3 × 1.5 mm² when looped through, which lets you feed several bollards along one run. The gland takes a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection, and the maker specifies installation by a qualified person.
What light it gives
The module shines at 4000 K, a neutral white, and the whole fitting delivers 438 lm — enough to mark out a path and its edges, not to light a whole plot like a lamp on a tall pole. The light is diffused and shielded from above: only 2% of the output goes upward, so the bollard does not shine into the sky or into windows.
It can be dimmed with a phase dimmer of either the trailing-edge or the leading-edge type. The LED module is not user-replaceable, but the maker provides for replacement by a service technician, and the diffuser and a service kit are available as spare parts.
Where it fits
Norlys intends Molde for private grounds, parks and other architectural outdoor spaces. IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction, and IK07 against impacts of 2 J, which matters beside a path people use every day. The Molde family also includes lower 50 cm bollards and 3000 K versions.
