NORLYS Astrid 2212BL LED garden bollard, black, 85 cm, 3000 K

NORLYS Astrid 2212BL is an 85 cm LED garden bollard with a square 14 × 14 cm cross-section. Its black RAL 9005 body has vertical ribs that continue across the milky diffuser at the top. The housing uses powder-coated extruded aluminium, while the diffuser is made from PMMA.

Planning light along a path or terrace

The included LED source provides warm white light at 3000 K. The complete luminaire delivers 256 lm, which must not be confused with the LED module's separately stated output of 1536 lm. Use the luminaire figure when planning lighting beside a garden path, around a terrace or along the edge of a driveway.

The milky diffuser spreads the light rather than producing a narrow spotlight beam. Photometric data and the width of the surface to be lit should guide the number and spacing of bollards. At 85 cm tall, Astrid provides low-level surroundings lighting; it is not a tall streetlight intended to illuminate a broad roadway.

Dimming and professional servicing

The fitting consumes 10.4 W and operates on a 220–240 V AC supply. It supports TRIAC phase dimming using either trailing-edge or leading-edge control. A brightness-control installation therefore needs compatible equipment. The 2212 version should not be mistaken for a DALI-controlled variant.

The LED source is part of the luminaire, so there is no conventional screw-in bulb to select. The installation manual allows the light source and control gear to be replaced by a professional. Servicing is not an ordinary user bulb change.

Fixed mounting and garden placement

Fixing uses three 9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a 65 mm diameter circle. Mounting screws and installation accessories are purchased separately. The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through connection between fittings. Installation and servicing must be handled by a suitably qualified person.

IP65 protection and IK10 impact resistance suit the specified outdoor use. The straight ribbed silhouette supports modern, minimalist and Scandinavian garden schemes. Check the proposed position against walking routes and door swings before fixing the bollard in place.
