Norlys Boden 862GA wall light, hot-dip galvanised, clear cover, E27

Norlys Boden 862GA is an outdoor wall light with a hot-dip galvanised steel front and three horizontal bars across a clear cover. The fitting takes one E27 bulb, which must be purchased separately.

A bulb visible through the clear cover

The manufacturer permits an E27 LED bulb rated up to 9 W. Check its dimensions as well: the instructions specify a type A bulb measuring 55–60 mm in diameter and no more than 110 mm in length. A matching screw base alone therefore does not establish whether the bulb fits inside the cover.

The clear cover leaves the bulb visible, so its shape affects the appearance of the complete fitting. Light colour and output depend on the chosen bulb, allowing them to be selected for an entrance or façade. The bulb shown in photographs illustrates use and is not included with this version.

Dimensions and materials

The wall light is 31 cm high, 16 cm wide and projects 10.5 cm from the wall. Compare these measurements with the width of a pillar and the space beside a door before preparing the installation. The two fixing holes are 4.5 mm in diameter with a spacing of 90 × 160 mm.

The hot-dip galvanised steel front is combined with a powder-coated cast aluminium base. The cover is clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate, and the gasket is silicone. The rectangular shape and three crossbars allow the same detail to be repeated along several sections of a façade.

Preparing the outdoor connection

IP54 provides protection against harmful dust ingress and splashing water. This wall-mounted fitting can light the façade of a home, hotel or restaurant. When positioning several fittings, allow for their actual dimensions and the bulbs selected for them.

Class I requires a protective earth conductor, and connection should be carried out by a qualified installer. The instructions specify a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter, used to pierce the original Norlys seal. Disconnect the power before replacing the bulb.
