Norlys HELLVIK 2400CB LED Bollard Light, Copper Brown, 55 cm, 6.9 W, 3000 K

The HELLVIK 2400CB is a Norlys LED bollard shaped as an open rectangular frame in cast aluminium, powder-coated copper brown. The light source sits in the top bar of the frame: it is shielded from above and the light falls downwards through the opening onto the ground around the bollard.

Size and installation

The frame is 55 cm tall, 42 cm wide and 11 cm deep — a low bollard for marking the edge of a path, garden steps or a terrace. A concrete anchor is included, so nothing extra is needed to set it in concrete. For other installation methods Norlys sells a ground anchor (209) and a concrete foundation adapter (209S) separately.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting, also at 2 × 4 mm²; round cable up to ø12.5 mm fits. Several bollards along a path can therefore share one cable run. The bollard is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module gives 3000 K warm white light at CRI 80. The LEDs generate 978 lm and 531 lm leave the fitting at 6.9 W. The shielded design lets only 5% of the output go upwards (ULOR), so the bollard lights the ground rather than the sky or windows above it.

It is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (RC) and leading-edge (R/RL) dimmers, so it works with either type of phase dimmer. The electronic driver is built in.

Build and servicing

The clear textured polycarbonate diffuser is UV-stabilised and a silicone gasket gives IP65, so the bollard can stand outdoors without any cover. Impact resistance is IK08. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service (service kit ZS2400zx0009), and Norlys rates the LEDs at L80 over 102,000 h and L90 over 52,600 h.

Copper brown is a Norlys palette colour; the same frame is also made in light grey, black, graphite and corten steel, and the Hellvik range also includes 4000 K and DALI2-controlled versions.
