Norlys Koster Pro 1821GR post-top luminaire, graphite RAL 7016, LED 19.4 W 3000 K, DALI2, for Ø60 mm pole

Koster Pro 1821GR is a NORLYS post-top luminaire: a domed shade on a straight arm that slides onto a Ø60 mm pole spigot. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016, and a sealed, clear PMMA lens closes the shade from below. The smooth dome on a straight arm follows a Scandinavian line. Only the luminaire is supplied — the pole and other accessories are ordered separately.

Pole mounting and dimensions

The luminaire is 45 cm long, and its shade measures 24.5 cm across and the same in height. The sleeve slides 80 mm deep onto a Ø60 mm spigot, so the pole has to end in a spigot of that diameter. It weighs 2.86 kg and its lateral area is 0.045 m² — the figure to check against the permissible wind load stated for the chosen pole.

A 3.7 m H05VV-F 5G1 cable runs down inside the pole to a junction box selected by the installer. Its five cores carry phase, neutral and protective earth as well as the DALI control line.

How much light, and where it goes

The Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED module produces 2776 lm, and 2700 lm leaves the luminaire at 19.4 W — 139.2 lm/W. 3000 K is warm white with a slightly yellowish tone. CRI 70 is enough for orientation and path lighting, but the colours of plants and facades look less saturated under it than in daylight.

The Ledil T2-L lens distributes light as IESNA type III: asymmetrically, in a wide band to one side of the pole. This distribution is chosen when the pole stands at the edge of a path or an access road and the light has to reach along and across the surface — in a park, on hotel grounds, by a restaurant or in a garden. ULOR 0% means the manufacturer states no light emitted above the luminaire. The photometry is calculated for a 3.3 m mounting height.

Control, power and service

The built-in driver supports DALI2 and NightDim. It is factory-set to maximum current; Norlys programs other settings on request. Dimming therefore needs a DALI control system — a standard phase dimmer will not replace it. The luminaire is protection class I, so it must be connected to protective earth.

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and the optical set itself — LED module and lens — is rated IP67. The module keeps 90% of its luminous flux for more than 100,000 h (L90B10), and the driver is rated for 100,000 h. The light source may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person; Norlys offers the ZS1821 service kit as a spare part.
