The Lamppost 1257GR is a 400 cm Norlys lighting pole made of powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016. The round shaft stands on a square 24 × 24 cm base plate and ends at the top in a 60 mm diameter spigot that the luminaire fits onto. Norlys describes it as a light-construction pole intended for gardens and private grounds.
What is included and what you need to add
The pole is the supporting structure only — there is no luminaire and no light source with it. To complete it you need a post-top luminaire made for a Ø60 mm shaft. Check that diameter on the data sheet of the luminaire you choose before ordering both parts.
The shaft has an inspection door with a terminal for the supply cable and a connection for the PE protective conductor behind it. The terminal takes cable up to 3 × 4 mm² with a round sheath up to 12.5 mm in diameter, which is the figure to compare with the cable already in the ground or the one you plan to lay.
Installation and foundation
The base plate has four 16.5 mm holes set on a 180 mm square. The pole is bolted to anchoring elements, and Norlys states that it fits the B-50 concrete foundation. The 180 mm spacing has to match the anchors set in the concrete, so the foundation is chosen or cast to that dimension.
The pole itself weighs 10.2 kg, or 11.6 kg packed. The carton measures 210 × 25 × 25 cm, so its length decides what vehicle can take it to the installation site.
Colour and intended use
Graphite RAL 7016 is a dark, anthracite shade of grey — noticeably lighter than black, which matters when matching the pole to the colour of the luminaire and other garden fixtures. Norlys also makes the same Lamppost 1257 in aluminium (RAL 9006), black (RAL 9005) and white (RAL 9003).
The pole is intended for outdoor lighting in a garden, a park, a driveway along a street or the grounds of a hotel. At 4 m it lifts the luminaire above the eye level of passers-by, so the light spreads over a larger area than it would from a low garden bollard.
