Lillehammer DC2294GR is an outdoor wall light running on 24 V DC, in cast aluminium finished graphite, measuring 18.5 × 11 × 8 cm. It emits a narrow, one-sided beam angled 4° downwards – and that is the whole idea of the fitting.
15 lumens out of 512 lumens inside
Those two figures look like an error but describe the construction. The LED module inside generates 512 lm, while 15 lm leaves the fitting. The rest is deliberately held back by the optic and the housing.
The reason is simple: Lillehammer is not there to illuminate but to mark. A narrow slot sends a thin blade of light straight down the wall – the result is a trace on the façade, the outline of an entrance, the marking of a step or a path. At 15 lumens you can look straight at the fitting without being dazzled, and at night there is no "floodlight on the wall" effect.
ULOR 0% means not one lumen goes upwards. The fitting is marked as dark-sky friendly – which matters in municipalities with light-pollution rules and anywhere nocturnal animals and insects are a consideration.
Note: 24 V DC, not 230 V
This is the most important thing to check before buying. Lillehammer runs on 24 V direct current (DC24V) and is protection class III – a separated extra-low-voltage fitting. It is not connected directly to the 230 V mains; it needs an external 24 V DC power supply sized for the number of fittings.
Outdoors, the advantage is safety and freedom in routing the wiring. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², looping further fittings through up to 2 × 1.5 mm², with a round-cable diameter of 7–10.5 mm. Several fittings can therefore be fed in a run from one supply.
Resistance to conditions
Ingress protection IP65 (dust tight and resistant to water jets) and impact resistance IK08. The operating range is wide: −30 to +50 °C – the fitting is designed for the Scandinavian climate, so a central European winter is no challenge.
The body is painted cast aluminium with a silicone gasket and an EPDM gland, the lens optical glass. Net weight 1.60 kg, gross 1.70 kg – a solid, heavy object for a fitting 18.5 cm tall.
The light: 2700 K, CRI 80, SDCM3
2700 K is warm – gentler on the surroundings than neutral white and less attractive to insects. Colour rendering CRI 80 and colour consistency SDCM3 are above what is usual in outdoor lighting: with several fittings in a row no differences in tone show. Photobiological risk group RG0 – no risk.
Installation
The fitting is fixed through two ø5 mm holes at 45 × 130 mm centres, following the enclosed instructions. Transfer the spacing to the wall with a template before drilling – with a beam this narrow, a few degrees out of true shows in the pattern of light on the façade.
