The NORLYS Lysfjord 6405 is an outdoor wall light shaped as an upright cylinder 15 cm in diameter and 33.5 cm tall, made of powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite (RAL 7016). Light leaves only through the top edge, which is closed by optical safety glass. The LED module and driver are built in, so no bulb has to be bought.
How it lights
For this version Norlys specifies a one-sided beam of only 4°, pointing upwards. Such a narrow beam draws a tall, thin streak of light on the wall above the fitting, and ULOR 100% means all of the light goes above the luminaire. The Lysfjord 6405 therefore accents a facade, column or pilaster, but it will not light the entrance or the path below it; other versions of the family do that.
The 3000 K colour temperature is a warm white, and the colour rendering index is Ra 80. The luminaire draws 14.6 W.
Control and connection
The DALI outdoor driver supports DALI2 and the NightDim (4DIM) function, but it leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, so without a controller the light runs at full output. Norlys programs other settings by arrangement with its sales department.
The wall light is protection class I and must be connected to a protective earth. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through to the next fitting (up to 5 × 1.5 mm²), and the gland takes round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. For a row of fittings on a facade, allow for the 26 A inrush current: Norlys permits up to 18 luminaires on a B10 breaker and 28 on a B16.
Size and mounting
The body projects 20 cm from the wall and is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 73 × 154 mm. It weighs 5.6 kg. IP65 sealing and IK08 impact resistance allow it to be mounted on an uncovered facade of a house, hotel or restaurant.
