Norlys Molde 2029GR outdoor wall light graphite LED 4000K with motion sensor

Molde 2029GR is an outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder coated in graphite (RAL 7016). The body is bent: the flat part sits against the wall, while the top edge reaches forward and covers the light module from above. The round eye of the motion sensor sits under that hood.

Size and mounting

The luminaire is 30 cm high and 11 cm wide and projects 23 cm from the wall — compare that last figure with the width of the passage where it will hang. It weighs 1.15 kg.

It fixes through two ø6 mm holes spaced 90 mm apart; screws and plugs are not included. The terminals take conductors up to 3×2.5 mm², a loop-through run of 3×1.5 mm² feeds several luminaires from one line, and a round cable may be up to 12.5 mm across. It is protection class I, so the earth conductor has to be connected.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The built-in LED module draws 8 W and 438 lm leave the fitting. That suits a doorway, a gate or a stretch of façade, not a whole yard. The 4000 K colour is neutral white — white light with no yellow cast, crisper than a 3000 K fitting.

The hood covers the module from above, so the light runs down the wall. The manufacturer states ULOR 2% and a BUG rating of B0-U1-G0: two per cent of the light escapes upwards, which limits spill into windows above it and onto the neighbouring plot.

How the motion sensor works

The PIR sensor works with a dusk switch and a motion hold. It leaves the factory set to maximum range, one minute of light and a twilight threshold of 10 lux — the luminaire comes on only after dark and goes out a minute after movement stops, and each further movement restarts that minute.

Build and outdoor use

The lens is transparent structured polycarbonate with UV stabilisation; the structure diffuses the light and the stabilisation decides how the plastic copes with sun. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the luminaire can hang on an unsheltered wall. IK07 covers impact resistance.

No bulb is bought separately — the LED module is built in, and it is not disposable: the manufacturer lists service kit ZS2029zx0009 and a separate lens set 06190001, and a service technician does the replacement rather than the user.
