Moss 6167CS is an LED spike spotlight: a cylindrical head with clear safety glass, mounted on a curved bracket above a spike that is pushed into the ground. The rust colour imitates corten steel, but the body is powder-coated cast aluminium. The whole spotlight is 27 cm tall and weighs 0.56 kg.
How big it is and where it goes
Of the 27 cm, about 11 cm is the head and bracket that stay above ground; the rest is the spike. The head is 8.5 cm across, so it stays inconspicuous among low planting in a border. Norlys designed it for lighting gardens, private grounds and architectural features. The head tilts vertically, so the same spotlight can be aimed straight up into a tree crown or at an angle onto a house wall.
Thanks to the spike, the light can be moved when plants grow or the border is replanted – within the reach of its cable.
How much light and what kind
The integrated LED module draws 8.4 W and the luminaire delivers 687 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. The beam is symmetrical with a 36° angle: at 1 m the pool of light is about 0.7 m wide, at 3 m about 2.2 m. That is focused light for a single object such as a shrub, a trunk or a section of wall, not for a whole lawn.
The spotlight can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, either trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The LED module is rated L70 59,000 h, and Norlys specifies that only a professional service may replace it.
Connection and weather resistance
A 3 m H05RN-F 3G1 cable is factory-fitted and is connected in a suitably chosen junction box. The 145ZX0009 box is not included and has to be bought separately. The luminaire is protection class I, so the earth conductor must be connected.
IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the spotlight can stand in a lawn or flower bed without any cover. Impact resistance is IK06, and Norlys permits ambient temperatures from -20 to +45 °C.
