NORLYS Nidaros 2120GB outdoor LED ceiling light, grey beige, 3000 K

The NORLYS Nidaros 2120GB is a cylindrical outdoor ceiling light with a recessed reflector and downward illumination. Its cast aluminium body has a grey beige powder-coated finish. The smooth, unadorned shape reflects the fitting’s Scandinavian character.

Dimensions and ceiling installation

The fitting is 9 cm high and 12 cm in diameter. Once installed it therefore projects 9 cm below the ceiling. Compare its circular footprint with the available space between other building elements. The manufacturer specifies mounting on horizontal surfaces.

Fixing uses two holes, following the supplied instructions. The 3084XX0009 spacer is a separately sold accessory and is not part of the standard fitting. The light can be used outdoors, including on a terrace or in a gazebo where a surface for ceiling installation is available.

A narrow beam of warm light

The 24° beam angle concentrates light downwards rather than scattering it widely around the fitting. This matters when lighting a selected surface below it. A colour temperature of 3000 K gives warm white light; the complete fitting emits 762 lm, while the module itself produces 1051 lm.

The LED module is included, so there is no separate bulb to buy. The complete fitting consumes 10.7 W. Brightness can be controlled with a suitable phase dimmer using trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The integrated source is not changed like a bulb; the manufacturer specifies replacement by a professional service.

Housing and electrical connection

Clear safety glass protects the optics, and a silicone gasket seals the joint. IP65 means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against water jets. This is the rating specified for outdoor use of the fitting.

A 230 V installation with a protective earth conductor is required, in accordance with protection class I. The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm². The round connecting cable should have an outside diameter of 7–10.5 mm; account for this range before fixing the body in place.
