Norlys Nidaros 2122GR outdoor LED ceiling light 8.3 W 3000 K, graphite

Norlys Nidaros 2122GR is an outdoor LED ceiling light finished in graphite RAL 7016. Its cylindrical, powder-coated cast-aluminium body surrounds a recessed optical opening, closed by clear safety glass. The plain tube form suits modern and minimalist architecture without decorative arms or a projecting shade.

A focused downward beam

This version directs light downwards only, with a beam angle of 24°. It concentrates illumination on a selected area rather than providing a broad, diffuse spread. When planning facade lighting, consider both the distance from the wall and the mounting height. Those dimensions determine where the beam reaches the surface, so lumen output alone does not describe the resulting coverage.

The 3000 K colour temperature provides warm white light. Output from the complete luminaire is 754 lm; the separate 1051 lm figure describes the LED source before optical losses. Total luminaire power is 8.3 W. The LED module and electronic power supply are part of the construction, so this is not a fitting for a separately chosen screw-base bulb.

Plan the horizontal mounting surface

The fitting measures 23 × 12 × 12 cm. Compare those dimensions with the available space beneath the ceiling or canopy before choosing its position. Fixing uses two mounting holes in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Nidaros is a surface-mounted ceiling fitting, not a garden post or a recessed downlight.

Its IP65 rating and downward distribution allow it to be considered for covered terraces, balconies, gazebos and entrances, including those at hotels and restaurants. Each location still requires a suitable horizontal support surface and a prepared electrical connection. The narrow beam should be assessed against the actual area to be lit.

Dimming and professional replacement

The luminaire supports both Trailing Edge and Leading Edge phase dimming. Include a compatible control in the electrical design. It operates on 220–240 V and is protection class I; installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. The LED module and control gear are replaceable by a professional service, rather than through an ordinary bulb change. Spacer 3084 is an accessory sold separately.
