NORLYS Nora 2482CG LED outdoor wall light, cement grey

NORLYS Nora 2482CG is an outdoor wall light with a square front and light directed both upwards and downwards. Its powder-coated cast-aluminium body is finished in cement grey RAL 7033, with clear safety glass covering the light openings. The plain, unornamented form suits modern, minimalist and Scandinavian architecture.

Allow space for the light as well as the body

The fitting measures 13 × 13 × 5 cm. Compare those dimensions with the intended wall section and the available space beside a door frame before positioning it. This is a compact wall-mounted body rather than a light on an extended arm. Its two-way, diffused distribution illuminates the wall above and below the fitting.

The manufacturer identifies walls, façades and other architectural surfaces as its applications. Nora can therefore be used on a façade, a terrace or balcony wall, or a masonry boundary wall. Plan the surrounding wall area in both directions, not just the footprint of the fitting itself. The IP65 rating means protection against dust and water jets; it does not permit immersion.

Factory output versus the nominal maximum

Two LED modules provide warm white light at 3000 K. The datasheet lists a nominal power of 15 W and a luminaire output of 1079 lm. However, the driver is factory-set to 10.9 W. The installation manual gives 820 lm for that setting with clear glass. This distinction matters when comparing brightness: the nominal maximum is not the supplied factory setting.

A switch on the driver allows power selection within the 10.9–15 W range. Phase-cut dimming, supporting leading-edge and trailing-edge control, is a separate function and needs an appropriately matched control. Settings must only be changed with the power switched off.

Installation and professional servicing

Nora operates on 220–240 V and is a Class I fitting. Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Its two fixing holes are 5 mm in diameter, with 63 × 112 mm spacing; fixing plugs are not supplied. A cable measuring 7–10.5 mm in diameter must pass through the seal as directed in the instructions. Both the LED modules and control gear are replaceable by a professional service, rather than through an ordinary screw-in bulb change.
