The Norlys Oppland 1324GR is a cylindrical bollard, 12 cm in diameter and 85 cm tall, made of cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite. Near the top the body has a slanted cut-out through which the light leaves downwards onto the ground beside the bollard. This is the version controlled via DALI2.
Installation and wiring
The bollard is fixed with three bolts through ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Ground and concrete anchors and mounting adapters are sold separately, so choose the fixing method before ordering. The luminaire weighs 4.98 kg.
The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring, so a row along a path runs from one circuit together with the control line. Norlys states that a B10A breaker carries 46 of these fittings and a B16A 74. It is a class I luminaire and needs a protective earth conductor.
What light it gives
An integrated LED module with the driver included gives 3000 K, a warm white. The complete luminaire delivers 304 lm while drawing 8.2 W — orientation light for marking a path rather than for lighting a whole yard. No light goes above the fitting (ULOR 0%), so it does not dazzle or brighten the night sky.
Brightness is controlled via DALI2, so dimming and scenes need a DALI controller; an ordinary phase dimmer will not work. The driver settings are described in a separate Norlys manual. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys keeps a service kit for this model.
Where to place it
IP65 sealing and IK09 impact resistance let it stand beside a garden path, next to a terrace, along a driveway or in front of a building entrance. The plain tube without ornament and the graphite finish suit modern, Scandinavian-style architecture.
