The NORLYS Stockholm 288BC is a garden bollard with a cylindrical body and an opal diffuser surrounded by horizontal rings. Its galvanised steel has a copper patina over a black base. The round head and plain shaft give the light its Scandinavian character.
Height and installation position
The bollard stands 85 cm high and occupies a 17 × 17 cm footprint. Compare these measurements with the width of your passage and the height of nearby planting. It is intended for private grounds and public spaces and is fixed to the ground rather than used as a portable light.
Mounting uses three 9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a 56 mm diameter circle. The 205ZX0010 concrete anchor, 206GA0S10 concrete foundation adapter and 3080GA0009 mounting adapter are sold separately. Choose the mounting accessory to suit the prepared base.
Which lamp to buy
No bulb is included. The E27 holder takes an A55–A60 LED lamp rated at a maximum of 9 W, so you choose the light colour and brightness when purchasing the bulb. The user can subsequently replace it without replacing the entire fitting.
The opal PMMA diffuser screens the bulb and allows light to spread around the bollard. This is not a downward-only fitting: the manufacturer specifies diffuse light with rotationally symmetrical distribution.
Housing and electrical connection
IP65 means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against water jets; the fitting is intended for outdoor use. A silicone gasket seals the diffuser. The light requires a 230 V installation, while protection class II denotes double or reinforced insulation.
The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through connection to further fittings. The specified round cable can have an outside diameter of up to 12.5 mm. Account for that limit when preparing the electrical installation.
