Nowodvorski BAY LED 8165 black recessed wall light 5 W 3000 K IP65

Nowodvorski BAY LED 8165 is a black recessed wall light with a rectangular frame and a narrow horizontal light opening. Its light source sits behind the front edge, with painted aluminium forming the face and PC plastic used as an additional material. The recessed body makes this a different installation choice from a wall lamp mounted entirely on the surface.

Allow room behind the wall

The visible face is 13.7 cm wide and 5.5 cm high. The manufacturer specifies a rectangular opening measuring 12.7 × 4.4 cm, with a depth of 6 cm. Compare these measurements with the available cavity, cable route and installation instructions before preparing the opening. A compact front does not remove the need for space behind the finished surface.

The instructions specify permanent installation in plasterboard surfaces. Do not assume that the light can be fitted into any masonry wall or replace a surface-mounted fitting without preparing the substrate. Connection to the 220–230 V supply must be carried out by an appropriately qualified person. Its Class I construction requires a protective earth connection.

Included LED, separately planned connection

The integrated LED source is included and is rated at 5 W, 3000 K and a declared luminous flux of 360 lm. The warm-white colour matters when matching this fitting with nearby lights. Its 70° beam angle should inform the spacing of individual fittings; it does not, by itself, guarantee even illumination across an entire staircase or corridor.

There is no separate bulb to select. Replacement of the integrated source is reserved for the manufacturer, its service representative or a similarly qualified person. The waterproof connector 8845 identified in the assembly instructions is not included, so account for it separately when planning the connection.

A restrained detail for circulation areas

The manufacturer confirms exterior use and an IP65 rating. Consider it for stairs, terrace walls or façades where the specified substrate and electrical installation requirements can be met. The plain rectangular frame suits modern and minimalist architecture without adding decorative ornament. IP65 does not permit immersion in water.
