Fold 15 is a brass wall light shaped like a folded sheet of paper — a flat rectangle with a crease and no visible screws. The front plate is held by magnets, so it comes off by hand, without tools. The design is credited to Bønnelycke.
How the light falls
Two 5 W LED modules sit inside, one aimed up and one down. Together they give 225 lm at 3000 K — warm white light that draws two bright fans on the wall but does not light the room. This is an addition to general lighting, not a replacement for it. The beam angle is 120° and colour rendering is Ra 80.
Four interchangeable inserts are supplied; they change the pattern the light draws on the wall. The fitting itself cannot be dimmed — the manufacturer lists it as non-dimmable — and the LED is built in and non-replaceable, rated at 30,000 hours. After that the whole fitting is replaced rather than a bulb.
Where it can go
IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the manufacturer intends this light for outdoor use and for bathrooms alike. The brass belongs to the Designed For Seaside range, built for coastal conditions; outdoors it darkens over time and takes on a patina, which is how the material behaves rather than a fault in the finish. The surface carries a 15-year guarantee.
The fitting is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to be present in the box. Supply is 220–240 V. Parallel connection is allowed, so several of these along a façade or a staircase can run from one circuit.
Dimensions and mounting
The light is 21 cm tall, 14.8 cm wide and stands 5 cm off the wall — flat enough not to be in the way in a narrow hallway or beside a front door. It weighs 1.24 kg, so ordinary wall plugs are enough; the body screws to the wall and the front plate goes on magnetically at the end. The box measures 22 × 6 × 16 cm.
