Outdoor Table Lamp SLV PHOTONIA Anthracite E27 IP44 232095

PHOTONIA 232095 is a portable outdoor table lamp built like a lantern. Vertical bars form the anthracite aluminium frame; between them sits a clear glass cylinder that encloses the bulb on every side. A bow handle is set into the top cover, so the lamp is carried in one hand; it stands on a round stepped base with the cable led out of it.

How big it is and where to put it

The lamp is 25.4 cm tall and 14.6 cm across — figures to measure against the free space on your own table top, because it stands on a surface, not on the ground. It weighs 1.799 kg, which at that height gives a body that will not tip at a touch.

SLV specifies a level, stable surface where the lamp cannot lean. The cable ends in an earthed mains plug that goes into an outdoor socket, so no electrician is needed — but that socket has to be within cable reach. The instructions add that the flexible cable must never be covered with soil.

What light it gives and what you still need to buy

The fitting takes one E27 bulb. The instructions permit bulbs up to 60 W — a ceiling for the light source, not the lamp's own consumption. No bulb is included, so you choose colour and brightness yourself: SLV recommends 7.5 W LED bulbs at 2500–2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional incandescent.

The glass shade is clear and wraps around the bulb, so light spreads in every direction and the bulb stays visible — its shape becomes part of the lamp. SLV describes the output as diffuse.

Where it can stand and how to look after it

IP44 means protection against solid objects from 1 mm and splashing water from all directions, so the lamp can stay out on a terrace or balcony through rain. It is not made for immersion or for a pressure washer, and its IK04 impact rating corresponds to 0.5 J.

The fitting is safety class I, so the socket has to carry an earth contact. Clean the housing from the outside only, with a cloth lightly moistened with water; SLV names salt-laden air, fertilisers, road salt and chemicals as things that damage it. PHOTONIA is a whole outdoor family: besides this portable lamp it includes a wall light, a ceiling light, a pendant and a bollard.
