Outdoor Wall Light NORLYS Asker 1513AL light grey E27 up/down

Asker 1513AL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a plain rectangular block of cast aluminium, powder-coated in light grey (RAL 9006). Light exits top and bottom through a clear, textured polycarbonate lens, so two beams form on the wall — one upwards, one downwards. The fitting takes a single E27 lamp of your choice.

Size and wall mounting

The body is 22.5 cm wide and 11 cm high and projects 8.5 cm from the wall — compare it with the free strip of wall beside the door, at the gate or between windows. It weighs 1.16 kg. It is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes, for which the manufacturer gives a spacing of 180 × 60 mm.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or up to 3 × 1.5 mm² when wired in a loop, so several lights can share one supply line. The EPDM cable gland seals round-sheathed cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth, and runs on 220–240 V.

What lamp and what light

Inside is one E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 LED lamp of up to 9 W. No lamp is included, so colour and brightness come with the lamp you choose; the manufacturer leaves lamp changes to the user. It can also be ordered with a Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K — warm, slightly yellowish light as bright as an old 60 W bulb. That lamp is dimmable; with any other lamp, dimming depends on the lamp and the dimmer.

Half the flux goes up (ULOR 50%), half down, so the light draws a symmetrical band on the wall above and below itself. It washes the wall with light rather than spotlighting a single point.

Durability and intended use

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on a wall without a canopy. IK08 impact resistance matters where the fitting hangs within reach. It works from −20 to +45 °C, and the polycarbonate lens is UV-stabilised, made for constant exposure to the sun. A silicone gasket seals the body.
