Asker Big 1302WH is an outdoor wall light shaped as a horizontal rectangular block of cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003). Light leaves only downwards, through a clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no light source to buy separately.
Size and mounting
According to the manufacturer's drawing, the fitting is 30.2 cm wide and 12.5 cm high and projects 12.1 cm from the wall. It can be fixed via an intermediate plate with two 5 × 10 mm adjustment slots 45 mm apart, or directly with two screws through ø5 mm holes 68 mm apart.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), and the cable gland takes a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. Several wall lights on one façade can therefore share one supply line. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth (PE) conductor.
What light it gives
The manufacturer describes the distribution as diffuse, hemispherical and directed downwards, with an upward light output ratio (ULOR) of 0%. The fitting therefore lights the wall and the ground beneath it without shining into the windows above or into the sky.
The LED module gives 3000 K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of CRI 80. The fitting puts out 306 lm at 5.2 W — enough to mark an entrance and wash the wall, not to light a whole yard.
Dimming and durability
The fitting can be phase-dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge dimmer (usually marked RC). If you are swapping a switch for a dimmer, check this rating, because the manufacturer does not list leading-edge dimmers.
The housing is rated IP65 — dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction — and IK08 for impact resistance, so it can hang on an exposed wall without a canopy.
