Paul Neuhaus GRETA 4031-48 is a compact table lamp with a spherical openwork shade and a round base. Its metal construction combines a rust-coloured base with gold-coloured sections on the shade. Irregular openings break up the light as it leaves the sphere, rather than producing the uniform surface of a closed globe.
A small footprint with a visible light pattern
The lamp stands 12.5 cm high and measures 10 cm in both width and length. These dimensions make it a small decorative accent for a chest of drawers, side table or bedside table, rather than a tall lamp with a broad fabric shade. Check the available surface against those measurements and allow for the route of the power cable.
The official photographs show both the metal sphere and the pattern of light and shadow cast around it. The cut-outs therefore matter when the lamp is switched on as well as when its surface is viewed unlit. Actual brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you choose; the photographs do not establish a particular colour temperature or output for your installation.
Choose one G9 bulb separately
GRETA has one G9 fitting for a bulb rated at no more than 40 W. The bulb is not included. Alongside the correct base and maximum wattage, consider the brightness and colour of light you want from the separately purchased source. A switch on the cord operates the lamp without requiring you to reach inside the metal shade.
Decorative lighting rather than a task beam
This small table lamp can provide supplementary decorative lighting in a living room, bedroom or hallway. Its spherical shade does not aim the light at a particular working area. The rust-and-gold finish and irregular ornament suit rustic or deliberately decorative interiors; they create a different visual impression from a smooth, minimalist globe.
