NUMINOS XL PD is a cylindrical pendant from SLV, 12 cm across with a 25.8 cm body, hung on a 250 cm cable. The body is aluminium in matt white and the inside of the cylinder is finished in matt black — which is why, seen from the side, you get a dark ring rather than a bright interior.

Light: 3150 lm from 28 W at CRI 90

The built-in LED module draws 28 W and delivers 3150 lm, or 112.5 lm/W — a high figure for a decorative fitting of this slim shape. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of 90 puts it in the retail and hospitality class where colour fidelity matters. The 60° beam is a wide cone: one fitting hung 1.5 m above a worktop lights a circle of roughly 1.7 m, so over a kitchen island or a long table several are usually set in a row.

UGR ≤ 22 — why that matters over a table

The measured glare rating does not exceed 22. Because the source sits deep in the cylinder behind a black reflector, someone seated at the table does not see the LED directly, only the lit surface. That is the property that lets NUMINOS be used in offices and reception areas rather than purely as decoration.

Dimming: trailing edge only

The PHASE version dims from a trailing-edge phase-cut dimmer in the wall box — an ordinary wall dimmer. It does not support DALI; if the installation is bus-controlled you need a different NUMINOS version. Check the minimum load of the dimmer you choose as well: at 28 W a single fitting can sit below the threshold of cheaper models.

Installation data

Supply 220–240 V ~ 50/60 Hz, secondary current 700 mA, safety class I (an earth connection is required). Inrush current is 10 A for 50 µs, which works out at up to 54 fittings on one B16A or C16A breaker — a practical number when planning circuits for a larger interior. Cable and cord are shortened on site.

NUMINOS is a modular system — the same sizes and finishes exist as recessed, surface-mounted and track fittings, so one character of light can run through a whole interior. Separate reflectors are available for the XL size to change how the inside of the cylinder reads.
