BALUN is a five-light pendant in a cascade arrangement: a single round gold ceiling plate from which five shades drop on thin cables at staggered heights. The whole reaches 120 cm down, and the shades spread across 48 cm of width.

One feed, five heights

A cascade solves a problem a single pendant cannot: from one ceiling outlet it makes a composition with depth rather than a flat line. The staggered heights let the fitting fill the space above a round table, or a vertical void — a stairwell or a hall with a gallery, where an ordinary chandelier hangs either too high or too low.

The shades

Each shade is 18 cm tall and 18 cm across, and its surface is irregularly faceted — the form reads more like a broken crystal than a smooth globe. In amber that means the lit fitting throws scattered warm reflections onto ceiling and walls, while the shades themselves stay legible in daylight with the light off.

Lamps

The five E14 lampholders take lamps of up to 5 W each — a ceiling set for LED sources. Bulbs are not supplied, so the colour temperature is yours to choose; with amber glass a warm 2700 K is the natural pick, reinforcing the honey tone of the shades. With a dimmable lamp the fitting works on a dimmer. The structure is metal, it weighs 1 kg, runs at 230 V, and IP20 places it in dry interiors.
