London 4012BL is a pole-top lantern: a four-sided body with clear panes, a pyramid roof topped by a finial, and below it a short column with a decorative cross-arm. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the panes are UV-stabilised polycarbonate.
Size and pole mounting
Including the column and cross-arm the lantern is 56 cm tall, and it is 30 cm wide at its widest point, the roof eave. It slides onto a lighting pole ending in a ø50 mm spigot — check the spigot diameter of your existing pole before buying. The pole and any other mounting accessories are not included.
A 2.4 m H03VV-F 3G0.75 cable leaves the fitting and is connected to the supply inside the pole, in a suitably chosen junction box. The cable length sets how far down the pole that box can sit.
Light source
Inside is an E27 socket. No bulb is included; the manufacturer allows an LED source of up to 11 W, which the user changes without a service visit. The panes are clear, so the bulb stays in view — its shape becomes part of the lantern's look, while the colour and brightness of the light depend on the bulb you choose.
The ULOR is 1 %, so practically all the light goes down and sideways, and the closed roof keeps it from the sky. That matters in gardens and parks, where light should fall on the path rather than into windows and tree crowns.
Durability and spare parts
IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, and IK07 means the body withstands an impact of 2 J. The lantern works from −20 to +45 °C. It is protection class II, so the installation needs no protective earth. Damaged panes are replaced as a spare part (service kit 0904800051) instead of the whole fitting.
The classic English lantern shape in black suits gardens, parks and the paths around hotels and restaurants — anywhere a pole should recall traditional street lighting.
