Pole-Mounted Luminaire NORLYS Trelleborg 2608GR Graphite LED 40.4 W 4000 K DALI2 (Pole Not Included)

Trelleborg 2608GR is an L-shaped pole-top luminaire head: the vertical section fixes onto the pole and the horizontal arm, reaching out 60.5 cm, carries a downward-facing LED module. The body is an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016), with a plain, square-edged form and no ornament. The pole is not included.

Mounting and choosing a pole

The head is 49 cm tall and 11 cm wide, weighs 7.5 kg and is made for a pole with a 100 × 110 mm profile. Norlys sells Trelleborg poles 400, 500, 600 and 700 cm tall separately, and the isolux plots on the manufacturer's sheet are calculated for mounting heights of 4 and 5 m. The maker intends it for private grounds and parks, driveways included.

The luminaire is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth conductor connected. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², and the next luminaire can be looped through with up to 5 × 2.5 mm². With several units on one circuit, the drivers' inrush current is what counts: the manufacturer allows 16 per B10 breaker, 26 per B16, 27 per C10 and 44 per C16.

How much light, and what kind

The Philips Fortimo LED module produces 6130 lm from 40.1 W, and 5984 lm leaves the luminaire at a 40.4 W draw, which is 148.1 lm/W. At 4000 K the light is neutral white. The colour rendering index is Ra 70, so façades and planting look less true to colour under it than under Ra 80–90.

The Ledil VSM lens gives a symmetrical IESNA Type V distribution: light spreads in a circle around the pole, and only 0.6% of the flux goes above the luminaire. The driver supports DALI2 and NightDim, meaning dimming from a control system or an automatic power reduction at night. It ships set to maximum current; Norlys programmes other parameters on request.

Build and servicing

IP65 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance let it stay outdoors without any extra cover. The lens is clear polycarbonate and the body is sealed with a silicone gasket. The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer stocks the driver and the gasket as spare parts. The driver is rated for 100,000 h, and the module keeps 90% of its flux for more than 100,000 h (L90B10).
