Paul Neuhaus Q-Rotate 2249-95 LED pendant light, 5 lights, aluminium finish, with manual height adjustment

Paul Neuhaus Q-ROTATE 2249-95 is a five-light LED pendant in an aluminium finish. Five shallow ring-shaped heads hang separately beneath a rectangular ceiling canopy. Both their suspension height and their tilt can be changed, rather than leaving the light in one fixed arrangement.

Individual pendants above a table

The fitting measures 95 cm long and 31 cm wide. The manufacturer's drawing gives a height range of 28–190 cm, so compare its footprint with your tabletop and the distance to the ceiling before choosing a position. Comfort Lift uses a manual roller mechanism in the canopy to adjust each pendant separately. The heads can sit at the same level or form a staggered arrangement.

This elongated format suits a dining table, a living-room dining area or a kitchen island. Tilting the heads changes the direction of the light without moving the entire fitting. Slender suspensions, geometric rings and a silvery finish work with modern and minimalist interiors; this is not a traditional chandelier with branching arms.

Adjustable white light and brightness

The integrated LED modules offer continuous dimming and white-light adjustment from 2700 to 5000 K. You can choose a warmer setting and lower brightness for a meal, then cooler white when reading at the table. The memory function retains the last selected settings. Light is directed both upwards and downwards, with the manufacturer specifying a 30% uplight and 70% downlight split.

The light sources are built in and non-replaceable, rather than screw-in bulbs bought separately. The manufacturer distinguishes the modules' 4250 lm from the fitting's effective output of 1400 lm. When comparing brightness with other lights, make sure the figures describe the same kind of output.

Included remote and smart-home control

The supplied infrared remote adjusts the light and selects preprogrammed scenes. Q-ROTATE also supports integration into a Zigbee system. App or voice control depends on a compatible smart-home setup: operating the included remote and adding the fitting to home automation are separate ways to use it.
