Recessed downlight SLV NUMINOS DL M white/chrome 2700K 17.55W 1003858

SLV NUMINOS DL M 1003858 is a round recessed LED downlight with a white trim and a chrome reflector interior. Its aluminium and polycarbonate construction has a visible diameter of 10.5 cm. This is the 2700 K, 40° version, not the adjustable NUMINOS MOVE fitting.

A defined pool of warm light

The integrated LED uses 17.55 W and provides 1550 lm. Its 40° beam concentrates the output on a selected area rather than spreading it broadly like a ceiling panel. When arranging several downlights, consider the ceiling height and the position of the surfaces you want to illuminate. The lumen figure alone does not establish how large a room a single fitting will light.

A colour temperature of 2700 K gives a warm-white appearance, while CRI 90 matters when the colours of furnishings are part of the lighting brief. Potential settings include living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas and corridors, as well as hotel and restaurant interiors. The plain circular trim suits modern and minimalist ceilings, with the chrome interior providing a visible metallic accent.

Check the ceiling opening first

The fitting requires a round cut-out measuring 9 cm in diameter. Its body height is 6.8 cm, whereas the specified installation depth is 7.5 cm. Treat these as different measurements when checking the space above the ceiling. The installation instructions also require ventilation and prohibit covering the fitting with insulating material.

Driver selection and servicing

A suitable LED driver with a constant-current output of 500 mA is required; the downlight is not intended for direct connection to the mains. Driver selection and electrical installation must be handled by a qualified electrician. The LED source is already part of the fitting, but replacement is restricted to qualified personnel.

The mounting diagram assigns IP44 to the room-facing side and IP20 to the section above the ceiling. This does not mean that the entire fitting has the same protection against water. For external cleaning, the instructions specify a cloth slightly dampened with water, after disconnecting the supply and allowing the fitting to cool.
