Recessed downlight SLV NUMINOS DL XL 3000K 37.4W Black/White 1004016

SLV NUMINOS DL XL 1004016 is a round recessed ceiling downlight with a black outer ring and a white inner optical surround. This version combines a fixed 3000 K LED light colour with a 55° beam angle. Its construction uses aluminium and polycarbonate components, with a visible face measuring 16 cm in diameter.

Light colour and layout decisions

The specified output of 3550 lm and power consumption of 37.4 W provide useful comparison points when choosing fittings for a lighting scheme. The warm white colour temperature is fixed; there is no CCT selector. A colour rendering index of CRI 90 is relevant when the appearance of furnishings or displayed objects forms part of the lighting brief.

The 55° beam is wider than the 20° and 40° versions within this family. For living rooms, kitchens, corridors or hotel spaces, consider ceiling height and the intended distribution of light before deciding on spacing. Luminous flux alone does not establish the illuminance that will reach a worktop or floor. The plain circular trim, without decorative detailing, suits modern and minimalist ceiling layouts.

Check the ceiling opening before installation

The fitting requires a round cut-out measuring 14.5 cm across and an installation depth of 11.5 cm. Its overall height is 10.8 cm. Check the available space above the ceiling, including room for the supply equipment, before cutting the opening. The installation instructions require adequate ventilation and prohibit covering the fitting with insulating material. Installation and electrical connection must be undertaken by an approved electrician.

Driver requirements and LED servicing

A suitable constant-current LED driver is required, with a 1050 mA output and a power rating of at least 37.4 W. Driver selection is part of preparing the installation; this downlight should not be treated as ready for direct connection to the mains. Only the manufacturer, an authorised service technician or a similarly qualified person may replace the LED light source. For external cleaning, disconnect the supply and allow the fitting to cool, then use a cloth lightly moistened with water.
