NUMINOS GIMBLE L 1006024 is a recessed ceiling downlight from SLV with a moving module: the reflector rotates on its axis and tilts, so the beam can be aimed exactly where it is needed. The L version is the smaller sibling of the XL – a 16 cm flange instead of 19 cm, and a 14.5 cm cut-out instead of 17.5 cm. The whole fitting, reflector included, is finished in white.

A 40° beam – this is an accent fitting

The LED module draws 25.4 W and delivers 2450 lumens of neutral white at 4000 K. The half-peak beam angle is 40°, narrower than the XL's 55°: the output is distinctly gathered and lays a readable pool of light on an object, a wall or a worktop instead of spilling across the whole room. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 keeps merchandise, wood and textiles true, and UGR ≤ 22 keeps glare in check when the fittings run in rows. Rated life is 50,000 hours, photobiological risk group RG1.

4000 K – when to choose this colour

Neutral white at 4000 K gives a clear, colour-neutral light that renders whites and greys correctly. It is the colour for offices, retail floors, kitchens and bathrooms – anywhere detail recognition matters more than evening mood. If you want warm light for living space, the same fitting in 3000 K or 2700 K is the better choice.

A separate LED driver is required

The fitting is protection class III and runs on safety extra-low voltage: it needs an external 700 mA constant-current driver, which is not supplied. The driver is chosen according to the number of fittings on the circuit and the control method – without one, the fitting will not work.

Installation

The cut-out is round, 14.5 cm across, and the recess depth is 11.5 cm – plan the void above a suspended ceiling accordingly. The visible flange measures 16 cm and projects only 4 mm below the ceiling plane. The moving module lets you re-aim after installation when the layout changes.
