Recessed Downlight SLV NUMINOS MOVE DL M White/Black 17.55W 4000K 1003613

The NUMINOS MOVE DL M is a round recessed downlight 13.5 cm across: a white aluminium ring holding a black reflector that rotates through 355° and tilts by 24°. The light comes from a built-in LED module, so there is no bulb to buy.

The ceiling cut-out it needs

The fitting drops into a round cut-out 12 cm in diameter, and the manufacturer allows 10 cm of recess depth above the ceiling — compare that with the space left above the suspended ceiling. The visible ring measures 13.5 cm across, the body is 9 cm tall and the fitting weighs 0.378 kg.

The aluminium housing carries the heat away from the LED module, and the manufacturer rates it for ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. The downlight is intended for dry interiors only.

How much light it gives and of what kind

The module draws 17.55 W and delivers 1600 lm — roughly twice what an old 60 W bulb gave, so a single point genuinely lights part of a room rather than just marking it. At 4000 K the light is neutral white with no yellow cast, and a colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours read almost as they do in daylight, which matters over a worktop or on displayed goods.

The beam is 20° wide, narrow and concentrated: the fitting draws a defined circle of light on a wall or floor instead of washing the whole room evenly. The glare rating of UGR ≤ 19 sits within the limit set for workplaces. The manufacturer quotes an average module life of 50,000 h; because the LED is built in, the whole fitting is replaced at the end of it.

Power supply and adjustment

The downlight runs on a 500 mA constant current and has no driver of its own — one has to be chosen separately, and SLV sells LED drivers as individual articles. Only 10 cm of connecting cable comes out of the body, so the connector has to sit right by the cut-out. This version is not DALI capable.

The reflector turns through 355° and tilts by 24°, so the beam is aimed at a picture, a shelf or a display case after installation, without moving the ring. NUMINOS fittings of different sizes and beam angles share the same visible face, so several can be combined on one ceiling.
