NUMINOS MOVE S is a recessed ceiling downlight with a round black trim ring and a polished chrome reflector. The LED module sits in a gimbal: it tilts through 30° and rotates 350° horizontally, so the beam can still be aimed at a chosen spot once the fitting is in the ceiling. It runs on a 250 mA constant current, so a separate LED driver is needed to switch it on, and that driver is not supplied.

The cut-out it needs and the space it takes above the ceiling

The downlight drops into a round 9 cm cut-out, and the 10 cm trim ring covers its edge. The body reaches 8.5 cm into the ceiling — compare that figure with the void you actually have above the plasterboard.

Above the ceiling line the body measures 6.05 cm, and the ring adds 0.3 cm below it, for 6.35 cm in total. Two spring clips hold it in the opening, snapping open once the body is pushed in. The fitting weighs 0.209 kg.

How much light it gives, and of what kind

The built-in LED module draws 8.6 W and delivers 690 lm at 2700 K — warm, slightly yellow light of the sort the old incandescent bulb gave. The output is concentrated into a 20° beam, so it lights a clearly bounded patch of floor, worktop or wall rather than a whole room; several are normally installed together.

A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours look close to the way they do in daylight, which matters over a picture, at a mirror and above a worktop. UGR ≤ 19 means the beam does not dazzle at a normal ceiling height. The manufacturer quotes 50,000 hours of average service life and states that the light source may be replaced by a specialist only.

What you need to buy alongside it

The module is fed with a 250 mA constant current in safety class III, so it never sees mains voltage — a 250 mA LED driver sits in between and is bought separately. SLV lists drivers of 6.5–10 W and 15 W for this fitting, including dimmable PHASE and DALI versions; the driver decides whether the light can be dimmed.

A 10 cm lead with a plug connector comes out of the body and joins the driver without opening the fitting. The manufacturer permits an ambient temperature of −20 °C to 40 °C.
