NUMINOS MOVE S, article 1005371, is a round SLV recessed ceiling luminaire with both the trim and the optical ring in the same white finish. From below you see a narrow flange and a gimbal-mounted LED module rather than a fixed downlight. The body is aluminium; on the ceiling side there is a finned heat sink, spring clips and a short supply lead with a power connector.

Ceiling cut-out and what is not in the box

The visible diameter is 10 cm and the overall height is 6.35 cm, of which the flange is about 0.3 cm. Installation needs a round 9 cm cut-out and 8.5 cm of free depth in the slab or the suspended ceiling. The body height does not replace that void: the springs, the connector and a separate driver have to fit above the board. The luminaire is held by springs; the photo also shows plates and screws for the spring fixings, not a surface frame.

This is a class III luminaire supplied at 250 mA DC. An LED driver is not included and must be chosen as a separate 250 mA unit. The luminaire itself is not DALI-capable. The LED source is built in and, according to the manufacturer, replaceable only by a specialist. The connection cable is 10 cm long, so the joint and the driver belong in the ceiling void, not outside the fitting.

Neutral 4000 K and a 55° beam

The integrated LED draws 8.6 W and delivers 790 lm at 4000 K with CRI 90. 55° is a medium beam: tighter than a wide downlight, but not a narrow 20° accent. UGR is at most 22, which limits glare in a typical recessed position but does not meet the stricter UGR 19 often used at desks. Rated source life is 50 000 h. IP20 and IK02 mean dry interiors, no water protection and low impact resistance.

The head can rotate 350° horizontally and tilt 30° vertically. One ceiling opening can then be aimed at a worktop, a shelf or a circulation route, provided 30° of tilt is enough for the room height. Net weight is 0.209 kg.

Where the flat white trim belongs

With no decorative shade and a flush white ring, the fitting suits modern, minimal ceilings where the hole and the beam direction should remain visible rather than an ornamental body. Neutral 4000 K and a 55° beam work in a kitchen outside the wet zone, in a dining room, living room, bedroom, hallway, corridor, stairwell and dressing room, and in a hotel or shop when merchandise or a passage needs extra light. Do not use it in a bathroom or outdoors: IP20 does not cover that.

The luminaire belongs to the NUMINOS system in size S. Rings, a cut-out reducer and the driver are separate parts; they are chosen for 250 mA and this series diameter, not for any downlight. The catalogue SLV warranty for this article is 5 years.
