Rendl POSTE R11799 is a chrome-finished ceiling base designed to be combined with a textile lampshade. Three adjustable E27 lampholders are arranged around its circular body. It is a component for assembling a lighting arrangement, rather than a complete ceiling light with a shade. Bulbs shown in some photographs illustrate its use; light sources are not included.
Choosing a shade and allowing space
Rendl specifies textile shades larger than 30 cm in diameter and recommends DELI 55/30, DOUBLE 55/30, RON 55/30, RON 60/19 and TEMPO 50/19. These named options provide a starting point when putting the arrangement together. For a different shade, check its attachment as well as its diameter; size alone does not establish compatibility.
The base measures 31 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height. These are the dimensions of the base itself, not of the completed light after fitting a shade. Compare the chosen shade's dimensions with the available ceiling space too. The lampholders have a 90° tilt range, allowing their position within the arrangement to be changed.
Three replaceable LED bulbs
The R11799 instructions specify three E27 LED bulbs, each rated at a maximum of 15 W. Selecting the bulbs separately lets you choose their light colour and output. The base therefore does not have a fixed brightness or colour temperature of its own. The shade also contributes to the final light distribution.
Rendl allows dimming with suitable light sources. If dimming is required, choose dimmable bulbs and controls that are compatible with them. An E27 socket alone does not make every bulb dimmable.
Connection and the finished appearance
POSTE operates on 230 V AC. Its installation diagram shows a mains connection without a separate transformer. Installation must be carried out by a qualified installer with the power disconnected.
The reflective chrome finish and circular body form a modern structural element. The chosen shade determines much of the completed light's appearance. Consider the combination for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, kitchens or hotel and restaurant interiors, with the shade and bulbs selected for the particular location.
